  • The NoIR Camera v2 (Adafruit PID: 3100) is the official "night vision" camera board released by the Raspberry Pi Foundation!

  • Features:

    • fixed focus lens
    • 3280 x 2464 px static images,

    • uses the dedicated CSi interface to rPi board
The ribbon cable contacts face towards the camera side of the board.
To insert the ribbon cable into the camera module, snap out the retaining bar, insert the cable, then close the bar.
However for the rPi Zero, this cannot be done with the Zero installed in the 3252 case

Other cable options are available. See Adafruit PID: 2087

  • the camera has No InfraRed (NoIR) filter on the lens, making it perfect for infrared or low light condfitions.
  • The ribbon cable that is included with the camera does not work on a rPi Zero.
Use PID: 3157 for connecting to a Zero.
  • For more notes on connecting this camera to a rPi Zero, see here.
